Albuquerque International Sunport Interior Office Renovation

Renovation operations of the 2nd level of the Albuquerque International Sunport Airport had to be carefully planned due to the many safety concerns expressed by the City of Albuquerque. City personnel were equally concerned that convenient and clear access for general foot traffic was maintained throughout the duration of the project. Scope for this project included top to bottom renovations of an existing 12,000 sf administrative and executive office suite. Despite demanding safety concerns, quality was not sacrified. During demolition, it was observed by Kha’P’o personnel that the floor levels were inconsistent. If left unattended the project could have suffered costly delays during glazing wall system installations. Kha’P’o met with subcontracting teams to formulate several options. After weighing the pros and cons of each option the Owner was able to made an informed decision. This allowed for work to continue which resulted in keeping the schedule and budget on track.
